- Posted an 83-77 River States Conference (RSC) victory over Brescia University.
- The Golden Bears boost their record to 9-8, 5-1 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 4-12, 2-4 (RSC).
- As of January 5, Tech holds the top spot in the RSC East Division, followed a half game back by No. 20 University of Rio Grande (4-1) and Indiana University East (4-1).
- The Gold and Blue were led by senior Savannah Shamblin who poured in 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting including a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.
- Shamblin also dished nine assists to go with three rebounds and two steals.
- Fellow senior Alexandra Combs finished with 17 points on a 4-for-6 effort from three-point range.
- Combs also recorded six assists, five rebounds, a block and a steal.
- Sophomore Brittney Justice was 6-for-9 from the field towards 16 points while junior Logan Dudley had 11 points for Tech.
- B. Justice also had a game-best nine rebounds.
- As a team, Tech finished 32-for-56 (57.1 percent) from the field while the Bearcats went 32-for-60 (53.3 percent).
- The Gold and Blue held the advantage in rebounds, 32-23.

- Suffered its first River States Conference (RSC) loss this season, 102-98, to Brescia University.
- The Golden Bears now hold a record of 14-3, 5-1 (RSC) while the Bearcats move to 8-7, 5-1 (RSC).
- Both teams are at the top of their respective leagues with Tech leading the East and Brescia on top in the West. No. 16 Indiana University East is currently a half a game back from the Gold and Blue in the East with a conference record of 4-1.
- Senior Elisha Boone led Tech with a double-double effort of 21 points and a game-best 16 rebounds.
- Boone also had two assists and a block.
- Junior Dominik King finished 4-for-6 from three-point range towards 16 points.
- King also posted four rebounds, two assists, a block and a steal.
- Senior Tommy Collins recorded 15 points, four rebounds and an assist.
- Fellow classmate Brandon Shingles had 11 points, five assists and three rebounds.
- The team shot 53.8 percent (35-for-65) from the field while holding the Bearcats to 48.0 percent (36-for-75) shooting.
- Brescia held the advantage in turnovers, forcing 21 Tech miscues while marking 12 themselves.

LAST TIME OUT
- Finished fourth out of eight teams Saturday during the Jim Crytzer Invitational hosted by Washington and Lee University in Buena Vista.
- The Golden Bears were led by senior Tristan Bean who picked up 15 team points after a second place finish at 133 lbs.
- Bean finished the day 3-1 including a fall (1:37) over Steven Muller of Ferrum College and two decisions (10-7 and 6-2).
- The Trenton, Ohio native fell in the title round to Ferrum's Levi Englman by fall (3:00).
- At 149 lbs., sophomore Devin Wilhelm grappled his way to a fourth place finish after a 3-2 showing during the invitational.
- Wilhelm scored a fall (1:49) over William Merritt of Averett College.
- Freshman Tanner Harris earned 11 team points for the Gold and Blue after placing fifth at 141 lbs.
- Harris was 4-2 including a fall (2:33) over Averett's David Shelton.
- Fellow freshman Cameron Crislip also placed Saturday, picking up a sixth place showing at 165 lbs. after going 3-3.
- Crislip recorded a technical fall against Efrain DeLeon (Gettysburg College).
- Also finishing sixth at his weight class, 141 lbs, was sophomore Logan Robertson.
- Robertson was 2-3 on the day and marked a technical fall over Shelton (Averett).
