Golden Bear Athletes of the Week | November 3-11

Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for November 3-11, 2020 were announced Tuesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Seniors Kaeley Boyd (women's cross country) and Michael Ecker-Randolph (men's cross country) headline this week's honors.

Ecker-Randolph led all runners during the River States Conference (RSC) Championship, crossing first with a time of 26:37 in the 8k. The St. Petersburg, Florida native earned RSC Runner of the Year for the second consecutive season and a spot on the RSC All-Conference First Team. The Golden Bears took the RSC title for a three-peat in the Championship.

Boyd helped the Golden Bears earn a RSC Championship, crossing second overall with a time of 20:20 in the 5k. The Alderson, West Virginia native earned RSC All-Conference First Team honors and was named Tech's Champion of Character. One athlete from each school who best represents the NAIA Champions of Character core values of respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship is awarded this honor.
