BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech volleyball showed plenty of fight on Saturday afternoon but couldn't slow down one of the top teams in the River States Conference, dropping a three-set decision (20–25, 21–25, 20–25) to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods inside Van Meter Gym.
The Golden Bears (4–25, 3–8 RSC) pushed the second-place Pomeroys throughout the match, rallying late in the second and third sets to keep the crowd energized. Saint Mary-of-the-Woods (24–2, 9–1 RSC) responded with efficient attacking and tough serving to close out each frame.
