PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (Oct. 25, 2025) — WVU Tech men's swimming powered to two dual meet victories Saturday afternoon, defeating Midway University (138–91) and Pikeville (157–54) in a competitive quad meet hosted by Shawnee State. The Golden Bears fell to the host Bears 138–101 but earned multiple top finishes and personal bests along the way.

🐻 Golden Bear Highlights
- Carmine Bernardo (So., Salerno, Italy) once again led Tech with wins in both the 100 butterfly (58.16) and 200 butterfly (2:09.43), plus a silver in the 200 Free Relay. He finished with 18 points — tied for the second-highest total of the meet (563.5 performance points).
- Bryson George (Jr., St. Vincent and the Grenadines) swept the breaststroke events, claiming first in the 100 breast (1:09.82) and 200 breast (2:44.75), adding to Tech's gold tally with 18 points.
- Lorenzo Silva (Fr., São Paulo, Brazil) took first in the 800 free (9:26.52), a personal best converted time in the 1000 free (10:53.20), and added a bronze in the 400 free (4:36.66), finishing with 14 points.
- Jose Fernando Perez (Sr., Trujillo, Peru) claimed a win in the 200 IM (2:22.72) and set a PB in the 50 free (24.86).
- Mauro Sanchez Lopez (Fr., Spain) notched a PB in the 200 free (1:51.74 converted) and placed third in three events, including the 100 fly and 100 free.
- Oleguer Siscart Muntané (So., Spain) earned silver in the 400 free (4:33.90) and set a PB in the 200 free (2:06.53).
- Sebastian Morales Tito (Fr., Peru) picked up two personal bests in the 100 free (55.95 converted) and 200 IM (2:25.51 converted).
