Golden Bears find success at NAIA National Championship

ELKHART, Ind. -- Golden Bear swimmers Simon Merhout and Xavier Trovesi represented WVU Tech at the NAIA National Championship in Elkhart March 6-8.

Simon Merhout | Újezd u Brna, Czech Republic | Sophomore
Xavier Trovesi | Milan, Italy | Freshman

NOTES

Merhout competed in the 200 Free, marking a time of 1:48.16.
In the 200 Back and 100 Back, Merhout touched at 1:56.10 and 53.48 respectively.
Trovesi was fourth in the 400 IM, touching at 3:57.41.
In the 200 IM, Trovesi finished sixth after a time of 1:50.79.
Trovesi also competed in the 200 Breast, recording a time of 2:03.30 towards a 10th place finish.
The freshman, Trovesi, earned two All-American honors with his top-eight finishes.
