BECKLEY, W.Va. (Oct. 4, 2025) — No. 22 WVU Tech men's soccer continued its unbeaten run with a 2–1 victory over Indiana University Columbus in River States Conference action Saturday afternoon at Paul Cline Stadium.
The Golden Bears (8-0-2, 3-0 RSC) extended their winning streak to six matches and their unbeaten stretch to 10 straight, maintaining their spot among the nation's top programs.
Senior Keishon Clarke of Telescope, St. Andrew, Grenada, broke through in the 43rd minute with his second goal of the season to give Tech a 1–0 halftime advantage. Freshman Leny Duperray of Lyon, France, doubled the lead in the 55th minute — his team-leading sixth goal of the year — off a perfectly placed assist from freshman Hugo Roman of Sollentuna, Sweden.
IU Columbus (5-6-1, 1-3 RSC) cut the deficit in the 82nd minute when Exode Minga scored, but Tech's defense — anchored by junior goalkeeper Ramon Ferrari of Nova Venécia, Brazil — held strong the rest of the way. Ferrari finished with three saves to secure his seventh win of the season.
The Golden Bears dominated statistically, outshooting IU Columbus 21–5 with 17 shots on goal and earning a 6–1 edge in corner kicks. Duperray and Vasco Berardo (Lisboa, Portugal) combined for eight shots, while freshman Julen Recalde (San Sebastián, Spain) added five more in a relentless offensive showing.
