OWENSBORO, Ky. (Oct. 9, 2025) — No. 22 WVU Tech men's soccer extended its unbeaten streak to 11 matches with a dominant 5–0 River States Conference victory over Brescia University Thursday night.
The Golden Bears (9-0-2, 4-0 RSC) wasted little time asserting control, striking four times in the opening half before adding a fifth in the second frame. The win marks Tech's seventh consecutive victory and sixth shutout of the season.
Senior Keishon Clarke opened the scoring in the 19th minute off a crisp assist from freshman Hugo Roman, giving Tech early momentum. Just over two minutes later, freshman Julen Recalde doubled the advantage with his fifth goal of the year.
The attack kept rolling in the 24th minute when freshman Leny Duperray finished a setup from junior Vasco Berardo, followed by sophomore Alejandro Aramburu capping the first-half surge with a 43rd-minute strike off a feed from freshman Gonzalo Sabeh.
Senior Christian Piewe added the final tally in the 60th minute, converting a pass from senior Nicholas Ihnat to complete the five-goal performance.
Defensively, the Golden Bears held Brescia to just eight total shots (four on goal), with junior goalkeeper Ramon Ferrari collecting four saves in the clean sheet. Tech outshot the Bearcats 25–8, including a 12–4 advantage on frame, and earned 11 corner kicks to Brescia's two.
