WVU Tech Volleyball Trio Named Academic All-District®

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Three WVU Tech volleyball student-athletes have been selected to the 2025–26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Volleyball Teams, recognizing excellence in both academic achievement and on-court performance.

Eden Miller, a sophomore middle blocker majoring in civil engineering, earned Academic All-District® honors after a breakout season at the net. The Daniels, W. Va. native appeared in 35 matches and recorded 114 kills, 38 total blocks and 140.5 points, ranking among the Golden Bears' top contributors in blocking while maintaining a 3.84 cumulative GPA

Yukari Furuichi Blanchard, a senior defensive specialist majoring in accounting and minoring in finance and fraud examination, was recognized following a consistent final season anchoring WVU Tech's back row. The Kearneysville, W.Va. native played in 32 matches, totaling 164 digs, 14 aces and 272 receptions, while carrying a 3.76 GPA. A four-year contributor, she closes her career with 441 digs across 91 matches

Anaís González, a sophomore setter majoring in mechanical engineering, rounded out WVU Tech's Academic All-District® selections. González played in 33 matches during the 2025–26 season and recorded 420 assists, averaging 3.85 assists per set, while also contributing defensively with 196 digs. She has been a steady presence for the Golden Bears on the court while meeting CSC's rigorous academic standards.

To be eligible for Academic All-District® consideration, student-athletes must carry a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, be sophomores or older academically, appear on their team's official eligibility certificate and play a significant competitive role in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

The CSC Academic All-District® program, selected by College Sports Communicators, honors the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletics and academics. Honorees advance for consideration to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with Academic All-America® teams scheduled to be announced in January.

WVU Tech congratulates Miller, Furuichi Blanchard and González for continuing to represent the Golden Bears with distinction in the classroom and in competition.
