WVU Tech volleyball wrapped up its opening River States Conference weekend with a hard-fought four-set battle against Indiana University East. The Golden Bears (2-18, 1-1 RSC) took a tightly contested second set but fell 3–1 overall.
Golden Bear Highlights
- Aniston Treadway led the Tech offense with 11 kills, supported by Ivana Burgos (9 kills, 12 digs) and Nevaeh Wooding (5 kills, 3 blocks).
- Addison White recorded a team-high 14 assists along with an ace and 8 digs, while Anaís González chipped in 12 assists and 9 digs.
- Peydon Smith anchored the defense, finishing with 16 digs, while Burgos and González added steady back-row coverage.
- Tech kept pace in sets two and three, holding IU East to just .062 hitting in set two before claiming the 26–24 win.
Opponent Note
IU East (8-11, 1-1 RSC) was powered by Noema Philistin-Lynch (19 kills) and setter Aislyn Hogan (40 assists, 9 points). Their strong fourth set, hitting .682 as a team, secured the road victory.
