MIDWAY, Ky. - WVU Tech men's basketball earned a convincing River States Conference (RSC) road win Tuesday night, pulling away from Midway for a 78-59 victory inside Marshall Gymnasium. The Golden Bears improved to 7-11 overall and evened their league mark at 4-4, while the Eagles fell to 7-11 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
WVU Tech controlled the tempo early, building a 39-29 halftime lead behind efficient offense and disruptive defense. The Golden Bears never let Midway gain momentum after the break, matching their first-half output with another 39 points over the final 20 minutes to secure the 19-point win.
The Golden Bears leaned on balanced scoring and defensive pressure throughout the night, forcing 17 turnovers and holding Midway to just three made three-pointers.
Golden Bear Highlights
Brandon Moore led all scorers with 22 points, pouring in 16 in the first half while adding five steals on the defensive end.
Jackson Tackett and Liam Craven each finished with 12 points, with Craven knocking down four three-pointers.
Ian Goings recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Jakyren Woods added seven points, 10 rebounds and two blocks to anchor the interior.
