Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for April 28 - May 4, 2025 were announced Wednesday by the WVU Tech Athletic Department. Freshman Abigail Holley (women's track & field) and senior Sam Miller (men's track & field) highlight the week's honors.

Holley, who hails from Clay County, W.Va., earned a PR in the shot put with a 7.30m mark at the Stan Romanoski Invite. She was sixth in that event plus the discus throw and hammer throw.

Miller, a Winfield, W.Va. native, threw to a podium showing in the hammer throw with a PR mark of 35.67m, finishing third. The mark is now the third best throw in program history.
