Sophomore Ryan Atkins has been named a Golden Bear Star Performer of the Week for December 23, 2015 — January 5, 2016.

Atkins posted 25 points, seven rebounds and a team-high four assists in Tech's loss to NCAA DII Davis & Elkins College January 2.

The Miami, Florida native has scored at least 21 points in Tech's last five contests while posting double figures in all but one game this season.

Studying forensic investigation at WVU Tech, Atkins is the son of Robin and Everett Atkins.
