Gomez took home many All-American honors after a superb showing during the NAIA National Championship.

Gomez, who hails from Toledo, Spain, finished third in the 500 Free, sixth in the 200 Free, fourth in the 1650 Free, eighth in the 400 Free Relay and tenth in the 800 Free Relay.
