MONTGOMERY, West Virginia — The WVU Tech men's swimming team won both relays and seven of the nine individual events on their way to a 132-69 victory over the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus University Saturday morning. The Golden Bears are now 4-1 in their 2015-16 campaign.
The 400 medley relay of freshman
Arthur Bertrand, sophomores
Manuel Serrano Laguna,
Geoffroy Gauneau and
Kenneth Edmondson came in first with a time of 1:41.63. The 200 freestyle relay had a winning time of 3:22.59 with a team that consisted of sophomores
Alexandre Quintão and
Bryan McCarthy, senior
Gabriel Grauwde and freshman
Vinicius Rios.

Quintão touched first in the 200 freestyle (1:48.78) and second in the 200 butterfly (56.42). Laguna won the 50 freestyle in 23.33 and the 200 IM in 2:00.21. Bertrand took first place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.57.
In the 500 freestyle, Gauneau took first with a time of 5:09.72 and senior
Jack Cavanagh swam to a first place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:02.44).
Next, the Gold and Blue will travel to Akron, Ohio for the Zippy Invite on December 4.
