BARBOURVILLE, Kentucky — The WVU Tech men's team defeated the Bulldogs of Union College 217-180 Saturday afternoon to finish their regular season with a record of 6-1 in duals.

Christopher Alpeter took second and third place. The A relay clocked a time of 3:40.98 while the B relay finished at 4:05.36.Â
Sophomore
Quentin Cooper took top honors in the 1650 Free with a 17:42.88 and finishing third was Grove in a time of 18:30.83.
Winning the 200 Free was sophomore
Manuel Serrano Laguna, touching at 1:49.16. Taking the two top spots in the 50 Free were freshman
Kohen Kerr (22.09) followed by sophomore
Jesus Ballesteros (22.25).
Rios placed first in the 200 Butterfly in 2:09.19 and touching first in the 100 Free, Ballesteros finished in 48.16. The 200 Backstroke also featured a top finish for Tech in Bertrand who touched after 1:59.13.
Next, the team will head to Christiansburg, Virginia for the Appalachian Swim Conference Championships (ASC) February 11-13. Last season, the Gold and Blue finished on top out of 12 teams for the program's first ASC Championship.
