COLUMBIA, Kentucky -- The WVU Tech men's swimming team defeated Lindsey Wilson College Saturday afternoon, 124-81.
Here are a few of the Golden Bears' top finishes:

- Freshman Manual Laguna Gomez touched first in the 1000 yard Freestyle (9:57.50).
- Sophomore Kohen Kerr grabbed first (21.98) and freshman Paulo Ignacio, Jr. earned second (22.44) in the 50 yard Freestyle with both times earning the swimmers a "B" standard. Dias earned an "A" standard and first place in the 100 yard Breaststroke (58.66).
- Junior Geoffroy Gauneau recorded a time of 54.02 in the 100 yard Butterfly for a "B" standard.
- Freshman Felipe Ruiz finished first in the 500 yard Freestyle (4:59.24) for a "B" standard.
The squad will return to the pool for their home opener when they host the Fairmont State University. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, November 5.
