CHARLESTON, West Virginia — The WVU Tech men's swimming team won both relays and eight of the nine individual events on their way to a 150-40 victory over the Battlers of Alderson Broaddus University Saturday. The Golden Bears are still perfect in duals, 3-0 for their 2016-17 campaign.
The 400 Medley Relay team of sophomore
Arthur Bertrand, freshman
Paulo Ignacio, Jr., junior
Geoffroy Gauneau and sophomore
Kohen Kerr came in first with a time of 3:34.59. The 400 Freestyle Relay had a winning time of 3:17.48 with a team that consisted of Ignacio, Kerr, freshman
Manuel Laguna Gomez and junior
Jesus Ballesteros.
Gauneau touched first in the 200 Freestyle (1:51.24) and the 100 Butterfly (54.01). Gomez won the 1000 Freestyle in 9:36.03, Kerr took the top spot in the 100 Freestyle (48.85) and Ballesteros finished first in the 50 Freestyle (22.73).
In the 200 IM,
Manuel Serrano Laguna took first with a time of 2:03.13. Ignacio (100 Breaststroke | 57.19) and freshman
Felipe Ruiz (500 Freestyle | 5:00.0) also swam to first place finishes.

The Golden Bears will next travel to Cleveland, Ohio for the Magnus Cup on Friday, November 18.
