- Dropped a road contest to (RV) Mount Vernon Nazarene University in an offensively charged game, 98-85.
- Junior Kievonn Banks finished with a double-double effort of 17 points and a game-high 11 rebounds including seven offensive boards.
- Junior Ryan Atkins led the team with 20 points while pulling down eight rebounds, grabbing a game-high four steals and dishing three assists.
- Junior Elisha Boone also hit double-digits in the loss, posting 12 points, six rebounds and a team-high four assists.
- Freshman Junior Arrey and junior Enson Garcia had nine points each to round out Tech's top offensive coordinators.
- The team shot 47.6 percent (30-for-63) from the field while the Cougars finished with a 51.5 percent (34-for-66) effort from the field.
- Tech just barely held the advantage in rebounds 36-35 while also holding advantage in second chance points (14-10), bench points (37-36), points in the paint (46-42) and fast break points (7-0).

- Enjoying a five-game winning streak after defeating Wilberforce University Thursday, 90-83.
- The Golden Bears now hold a record of 5-3 and the streak is the best since their 2014-15 campaign (five-game, February 3 - March 1).
- The Gold and Blue currently hold 13 top-50 rankings in the nation (NAIA DII) and four top-20 rankings including No. 11 in Total Steals (90), No. 17 in Field Goal Pct Defense (0.341), No. 18 in Total Scoring Offense (570), No. 20 in Total Rebound Offense (325)
- Individually, sophomore Savannah Shamblin boasts four top-50 NAIA DII rankings while seniors Brooke Gee and Cheyanna Lusk and sophomore Zjhane West have one each.
- Shamblin is No. 3 in total steals (25), No. 20 in steals per game (3.125), No. 42 in total scoring (115) and No. 47 in field goal percentage (0.485).
- Gee is No. 27 in total rebounds (59), West is No. 34 in total assists (26) and Lusk is No. 48 in total steals (16).
- In the contest at Wilberforce, Shamblin went 5-for-6 from three-point range towards her 28 points which led the game and gave the Cross Lanes, West Virginia a new career-high.
- West was 6-for-8 from the bonus line and finished with 16 points, seven assists and six rebounds while Gee had a double-double effort of 13 rebounds and 12 points in the win.
- Gee also posted a game-high two blocks.
- Rounding out the top offensive contributors, sophomore Alexandra Combs went a perfect 8-for-8 from the foul line, scoring 11 points to go with four rebounds.
- Freshman Logan Dudley pulled down eight rebounds, four offensive and four defensive, to go with five points and an assist for WVU Tech.
- The team finished with a 30-for-66 (45.5 percent) effort from the field while shooting 8-for-15 (53.3 percent) from beyond the arc and 22-for-31 (71.0 percent) from the foul line.
- Tech held the advantage over the Bulldogs in bench points (83-75) and points in the paint (28-26).

LAST GAME
- For the first time in WVU Tech men's soccer program history, the Golden Bears advance to the second round of the NAIA National Championship after a 2-1 victory over Olivet Nazarene University Saturday afternoon.
- The contest was hosted by Tech at the YMCA Paul Cline Memorial Youth Sports Complex in Beckley, West Virginia.
- The Golden Bears, who are the No. 8 seed, move to 17-2-2 this season while the Tigers 14-game winning streak was snapped and they finish their season with a record of 16-4-2.
- With both goals from Tech coming off the bench, the first occurred when freshman Sergio Sanchez sent the perfect pass to fellow classmate Carlos Tormo in the 35th minute.
- The Tigers answered back in the second half when Marcus Wollak sent a ball to the back of the net in minute 51 for the equalizer.
- Junior Francisco Neto scored the winning goal with ten minutes left of play off a free kick that found its way past ONU goalkeeper Chris Taborn.
- Olivet Nazarene managed one more shot on goal for an effort to knot the game but Tech's goalkeeper Hunter Moles made the save with 4:26 left to play.
- In goal, Moles (17-2-2) finished with three saves in 90 minutes of play while ONU's Taborn had six saves.
- As a team, the Golden Bears held the advantage in shots and shots on goal, 20 (8), compared to their opponent's 5 (4).
- The Tigers had nine opportunities from the corner while Tech had four.
