LAST SERIES
  • WVU Tech and Midway University split a River States Conference (RSC) baseball doubleheader Sunday afternoon on Chandler Field in Versailles, Kentucky.
  • The Golden Bears (17-20, 11-9 RSC) dropped the first game 3-4 after nine innings before taking the night cap, 5-4, over the Eagles (19-14, 16-4).
  • Midway took the RSC Games of the Week four-game series 3-1 and is currently first in the conference standings while Tech is sitting at No. 4, five games back.

  • Split a doubleheader with River States Conference (RSC) foe Brescia University Sunday afternoon at Cabell Midland High School in Ona, West Virginia.
  • The Golden Bears (7-24, 4-4 RSC) recorded a season-high 15 hits in the 9-1 victory (six innings) in game one before falling 7-3 to the Bearcats (11-13, 5-3 RSC).
  • Senior Mackenzie Wilson earned the series start, pitching a complete game for the win. Wilson struck out two Bearcats while giving up just one run.

LAST MEET
  • Sophomore Daniel Lynch once again was the top performer, winning the men's shot put with a toss of 14.89 meters and garnering a runner-up finish in the discus with an all-time personal best in the latter event of 42.91.
  • In the men's 400 meter dash sophomores Sasha Fleurinor (51.80) and Raquez Lockhart (51.85) posted personal best times, placing seventh and eighth respectively while freshman Marvell Connor hit the tape in a season's best.
  • On the women's side, senior Brooke Gee was the top performer, posting a second place finish in the javelin (31.40) and a fifth in the discus throw, recording a personal best of 33.45 while fellow thrower freshman Courtney Leadingham (28.70) also threw her best mark.
  • Freshman Hailey Couchman continued her success in the long jump placing eighth, despite fighting very strong cross-winds.
  • Sophomore Seirra Seay showed major improvement in the 400 hurdles with her seventh place finish, senior Atiyyah Herron (400 meters) recorded a season best and freshman Katie Ervin garnered a tenth place finish in the 800 meter run.

LAST TOURNAMENT
  • Placed second in the Indiana University East Spring Invitational on Saturday at the Liberty Country Club (Par 70 | 6,375 Yards).
  • The Golden Bears finished behind host school IU East who shot a 607 while Tech combined for a 625 team total.
  • Freshman Andres Echeveste led the way for the Golden Bears for the second weekend in a row.
  • Finishing third overall, Echeveste shot a total 36-round score of 148 (+8 | 72 | 76).
  • Fellow freshman Jayden Dignan finished ninth with an overall score of 157 (+17 | 78 | 79).
  • Freshman Kieren Samarakoon carded a 157 (T10) while fellow classmate Brandon Keaton shot a 162 (15) and sophomore Jesse-Frank Evans finished with a score of 173 (T22).
