Tech volleyball cruises to 3–0 victory at home

BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech volleyball put together a strong team performance Thursday night inside Van Meter Gym, sweeping Brescia 3–0 (25–19, 25–21, 25–18) in River States Conference action.

The Golden Bears (4–22, 3–5 RSC) produced 43 kills on a .114 hitting percentage and outdug the Bearcats 57–50. Tech also tallied seven blocks and two service aces, earning its second conference home win of the season.

Freshman Aniston Treadway led the offense with 14 kills on 34 swings (.206), while Eden Miller added seven kills and Nevaeh Wooding chipped in six with four total blocks. Ivana Burgos posted five kills and eight digs, and Gabriela Lattu contributed six kills and two block assists.

Junior setter Addison White directed the offense with 22 assists and 10 digs, and sophomore Anaís González handed out 12 assists with a service ace. Defensively, senior Peydon Smith paced the Golden Bears with 17 digs.

Brescia (6–14, 1–7 RSC) was led by Callie Mason with six kills and 11 digs, while Francisca Sousa recorded five blocks.
