The WVU Tech Athletic Department has announced its Golden Bear Athletes of the Week for March 23–29, 2026. This week’s honors go to freshman Isaac Agee (track & field) and senior Olivia Barnett (softball) following standout performances in collegiate competition.
Isaac Agee (Hines, W.Va.)
Agee turned in a dominant performance at the Tim Weaver Memorial, helping lead WVU Tech’s outdoor track and field squad with two event victories. The freshman won the 110-meter hurdles in a personal-best and school-record time of 14.78, then added another first-place finish in the long jump with a season-best mark of 6.73 meters (22-1). Agee’s record-breaking and multi-win effort highlighted one of the Golden Bears’ top all-around performances of the week.
Olivia Barnett (Shady Spring, W.Va.)
Barnett paced the Golden Bears offensively during a six-game conference stretch, batting .500 (9-for-18) with three runs scored, two doubles, one home run and four RBIs. The senior infielder posted a .778 slugging percentage and .500 on-base percentage, while accounting for three of WVU Tech’s 11 extra-base hits during the week. Barnett’s consistent production gave the Golden Bears a reliable spark at the plate throughout the stretch.
