Senior Stephen Coles has been named the Golden Bear Star Performer for January 21-28.

Coles added 21 points to lead the WVU Tech men's basketball team to an 89-71 victory over Virginia-University of Lynchburg Wednesday night at the Baisi Athletic Center.

Coles grabbed another double-double with his 21 points and 10 rebounds, this marked a career-high in points. He also produced a career-best as a Golden Bear in blocks with two.

The forward led the way with his third consecutive double-double after scoring 20 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Coles produced a game-high three steals to go with his two assists and a block against Wilberforce for the win (93-86).

The criminal justice major is from Danville, Va.
