Men's Swimming Races to Win Over King University

Meet Results

MONTGOMERY, West Virginia - In their third meet of the season, the WVU Tech men's swimming team dueled King University (Tennessee) to a 88-70 finish with the Golden Bears finishing on top.

The "A" and "B" relays of Tech beat out the Tornados "A" relays with strong swimming from freshmen Chris Alpeter, Michael Grauwde, Jaime Arevalo and junior Kyle Polczynski in the 200 Medley, to make up the "A" relay. In the 200 Freestyle relay, the "A" relay of juniors Gabriel Grauwde and Jack Cavanagh, M. Grauwde and fellow classmate Jesus Ballesteros.

The Golden Bears also finished with top times in all individual events on the day.

Tech will be back in the pool Friday, October 24 when they head to Fairmont, West Virginia for the Fairmont Invite, scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
