Box Score OWENSBORO, Kentucky -- WVU Tech women's basketball fell to River States Conference (RSC) opponent Brescia University, 65-59, Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears now hold a record of 9-9, 4-2 (RSC) while the Bearcats boost their record to 6-11, 3-3 (RSC).
Three Golden Bears finished in double-digits including 13 points from junior
Savannah Shamblin and ten each from junior
Alexandra Combs and freshman
Brittney Justice.
Combs pulled down a team-high six rebounds while Justice marked five boards.
As a team, Tech shot 35.6 percent (21-for-59) while Brescia finished 44.0 percent (22-for-50) from the floor. The Bearcats also outrebounded the Gold and Blue, 41-27.
WVU Tech will return to play Saturday, January 13 when they host RSC foe University of Rio Grande at Charleston Catholic High School in Charleston, West Virginia.
