BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech volleyball wrapped up its home schedule with a strong showing inside Van Meter Gym, battling Shawnee State on Friday before powering past Kentucky Christian in four sets Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Bears (6-27, 5-10 RSC) hit .165 as a team in Saturday's win, marking their fifth conference victory of the season.
Friday, Oct. 31 — Shawnee State 3, WVU Tech 0

WVU Tech nearly stole the opening set in extra points and stayed within striking distance in the second before Shawnee State pulled away late.
Eden Miller led the offense with 11 kills on .455 hitting, while Aniston Treadway added 10 kills. Peydon Smith anchored the defense with 17 digs, and setters Anaís González (16 assists) and Addison White (12 assists) combined for 28.
Tech totaled 39 kills, 37 assists, 4 aces, 9 blocks, and 70 digs in the match.
Saturday, Nov. 1 — WVU Tech 3, Kentucky Christian 1
Set scores: 22-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-23
The Golden Bears bounced back quickly, taking control through the middle two frames and sealing the win with a strong fourth set.
Aniston Treadway led the way with 12 kills, followed by Ivana Burgos (11) and Nevaeh Wooding (7). Roxana Vazquez and Peydon Smith fueled the service game with nine combined aces, while Gabriela Lattu led the front line with five blocks.
González and White guided the offense with 31 combined assists (16 and 15), and Smith added 12 digs as Tech's defense stayed steady down the stretch.
The Golden Bears finished with 47 kills, 40 assists, 9 aces, 12 blocks, and 51 digs.
