Golden Bears outlast Kentucky Christian in five sets

GRAYSON, Ky. — WVU Tech volleyball earned a five-set road victory Saturday, defeating Kentucky Christian 25-21, 24-26, 25-21, 16-25, 15-12 inside the Damron Center.

Aniston Treadway paced the Golden Bears with a career-high 24 kills, while Ivana Burgos tallied 13 kills and Nevaeh Wooding added 8 kills and a team-best 3 blocks. Addison White directed the offense with 28 assists, 2 aces and 10 digs, and Anaís González chipped in 18 assists. Peydon Smith anchored the defense with a match-high 25 digs, joined by Brooke Daniels and White with 10 each.

The Golden Bears finished with 57 kills on .166 hitting compared to Kentucky Christian's 50 kills on .075.

Opponent highlights: Kentucky Christian's Lydia Ward recorded a team-best 19 kills, while Grace Lewis dished out 27 assists and added 12 digs.
