BECKLEY, W.Va. — WVU Tech swimming returned to the pool Friday afternoon at the YMCA of Southern West Virginia, earning a home dual win on the men's side and posting multiple event victories across the meet against West Virginia Wesleyan.

Golden Bear Highlights
Lorenzo Silva led the Golden Bears men with three individual wins, taking first in the 800 freestyle (10:08.45), 200 freestyle (2:20.11) and 400 freestyle (4:58.75).
Mauro Sanchez Lopez picked up two event wins, finishing first in the 50 butterfly (26.73) and the 200 IM (2:37.06), and also helped WVU Tech win both relays.
Carmine Bernardo won the 50 freestyle (25.36) and delivered an anchor leg on the Golden Bears' first-place 200 freestyle relay.
Oleguer Siscart Muntané earned an individual victory in the 100 butterfly (1:04.29) and contributed to both WVU Tech relay wins.
On the women's side, Neda Vaicaite accounted for Tech's scoring with two event wins, placing first in the 200 freestyle (2:22.47) and the 50 freestyle (29.88).

Jose Fernando Perez and Bryson George combined for key points in the breaststroke and freestyle events, while Mason Adams and Sebastian Morales Tito added scoring swims across the backstroke, butterfly and freestyle races. Alvaro Iglesias also contributed in the sprint freestyle events and on WVU Tech's "B" relays.
