Hall of Fame
Antoine Scott was a 4 year basketball standout who played under the late Tom Sutherland. As a Golden Bear, Antoine earned a solid reputation for making a living from behind the arc.
In 1983, Scott set a shooting record at Shepherd University, punishing the Rams by connecting on 6 of 6 from three point land. In 1984 and 1985, Scott’s accomplishments in the gym earned him a spot back-toback seasons on the WVIAC All-Tournament Team. Antoine also went on to earn several Tech Player-of-the- Week Awards.
Scott’s crowning moment as a Golden Bear came in the 1986 WVIAC Tournament where he helped lead Tech to a 91-81 victory over then, bitter rival, Morris Harvey College (University of Charleston).
After capping off a successful collegiate career, Antoine went on to continue his playing career as a Harlem Globetrotter for a number of years.
