Dr. Scott Glenn is a native of Pottstown, Pennsylvania where he was a standout three sport athlete prior to venturing to WVU Tech where he majored in History and Government.

During his tenure at Tech, Glenn earned Who’s Who in America nominations and was a two-time All-America honorable mention and 1st Team All-League selection as a running back. Glenn led the West Virginia Conference in rushing back-to-back years during the 1980s. and is currently WVUIT’s All-Time Leading Rusher.

In 1993, Glenn enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as a stellar M1A1 Tank Commandar. While in the Marine Corps, he was named “Marine of The Year” and power lifting Champion of the Camp Lejuene 2nd Tank Battalion in North Carolina. His tour in the Corps included Operation Able Vigil (Cuban Refugee Crises) and Operation Uphold Democracy (Port Au Prince Haiti Crises).

In 1999, Glenn served as an assistant football coach at Unionville-Chaddsford, where he helped turn the program around from 2-19 record to a 4-3 record in league play . In 2002, Glenn was selected as Chester County’s first high school African American Head Football Coach.

In 2002, Glenn was nominated as the Head Football Coach of the Chester County All-Star Game. He then moved on to Albright College as an assistant coach under E.J. Sandusky. in 2004. In 2008, Glenn served as the defensive coordinator at Pottstown High School in Pennsylvania.

Glenn has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Government, MBA in Business and Marketing, and is a Dr. of Educational Leadership. Dr. Glenn is also employed as a Title 1 educator for the CONCERN Treatment Center for boys in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Football Coaches Association, the Marine Corps League, and Second Baptist Church. He is also a published author for the AFCA: Adding Motivation to Coaching Concepts Can Be Self Contagious and has a doctoral dissertation entitled: An Ethnographic Qualitative Study of Barriers to Leadership For Black Administrators in Higher Education. Dr. Glenn is married to the former Rose Butler of Pottstown, PA.

Dr. Glenn was also inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame on October 17, 2009.
