Kelly attended WVU Tech from 2000-2004, where she was a multi-sport athlete, excelling in basketball and softball.

Her standout athletic career started when she was a student at Greenbrier East High School. She is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame in both basketball and softball. Her high school basketball career is marked with a number of accolades, including membership in the 1000 Point Club, First Team All-State, Second Team in the state in scoring and Coalfield Conference Player of the Year. She was the school’s first softball player in history to earn All-State honors and was named the Coalfield Conference Player of the Year in that sport as well.

Her Golden Bear softball career boasts a number of accolades, including WVIAC All-Conference honors in 2001-2004. In 2001, she was ranked ninth in the nation in Division II with a batting average of .471 and in 2002, Kelly led the nation in doubles per game.

In the years after college, Kelly continued to excel in her athletic career. She won four state championships and one national championship in West Virginia women’s slow pitch softball, where she was selected for the National All-Tournament Team two years in a row.
