Priscilla was born in Chicago, Illinois on August 15, 1941 before her family moved to her mother’s home town of Needham, Massachusetts. There, Priscilla and her two brothers were raised and attended Needham High School until her graduation in 1959.
After graduating from high school, Priscilla worked part-time at the Woolworth’s Department Store and the Needham Park and Recreation Department before eventually working full-time at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. While at Newton-Wellesley, she worked in the Medical Records Department for three years before attending Tech to further her education.
During her time at WV Tech Priscilla was extremely active in student life, acting as the Vice President of the Sigma Iota Chi Sorority and as the President of the Women’s Physical Education Club. She also was a member of the inter-sorority council, women’s dorm council, Campus Christian Council and the Newman Club.
As an athlete, Priscilla participated in intramurals as well as the extramural basketball, volleyball, softball, and tennis teams. In 1966 she received the Athlete of the Year Trophy.
Priscilla also excelled in the class room in her four years as a Golden Bear, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a double major in Social Studies and Health and Physical Education. Upon graduation, she earned a graduate assistant position in the Health and Physical Education Department at Marshall University where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Master of Science degree. To date, Priscilla has completed 60 credits above her Master’s Degree, leaving her a dissertation short of a Doctorate Degree in Health and Physical Education.
In 1967, Priscilla began her teaching career in the Massachusetts Boston Public School System as a Physical and Health Education Teacher before later serving as a Department Chairperson at the Jeremiah Burke High School and Brighton High School.
After 34 fulfilling years of service, Priscilla retired and is now enjoying her leisure time in Ogunquit, Maine (Beautiful Place by the Sea) during the summer months. She also enjoys traveling, mostly in Europe.
